Microsoft and Facebook have announced a collaboration in Mexico to further empower the country's micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MiPymes) through resources and training in technological productivity and digital marketing.
Aware that these represent an important part of Mexico's financial prosperity, as they account for more than 95% of the country's companies, are responsible for more than 50% of GDP and create more than 65% of jobs, both companies initiate this collaboration – the first of its kind in the world – with the intention of stepping up its actions for the benefit of this sector.
As the first activity September 24th , Facebook is offering a free digital marketing course on Microsoft's Facebook page so that entrepreneurs from all over the country know how to build their digital presence and take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital platforms. Topics covered include: best practices for opening a Facebook page, content creation, and using conversational tools like Messenger's automatic replies.
Microsoft will also offer a workshop on the basic tools and productivity needed to run a business. This course will be broadcast on the Business Facebook page 8th October. Business owners can learn how to make the most of it and collaborate with technology in real time. Microsoft provides MSMEs with the productivity applications that are most useful for their businesses free for 30 days.
Influence more than 28 million people
The courses have the potential to reach the 28+ million people who are part of the Microsoft and Facebook for Business communities. In addition, anyone interested can later view these workshops on the websites of both companies, as they are saved and freely accessible.
